111 Pike Street is a blend of African, Indonesian, Central and South American coffees -- a universal coffee for any preparation, every day. Colombia Monserrate is a direct-trade coffee from a small town in the province of Huila. We take it to a medium/medium-dark roast to bring out its full sweetness. The Kenyan is one of the most exciting coffees this year, packed with red-wine flavors and a dark underside; this coffee makes a perfect mid-day or afternoon coffee. |

Chocolate, oh chocolate!!
And, no, none of the coffees featured in this sampler contains any artifical flavoring. Nuances of milk
chocolate rise to the surface in the T-Blend. Seattle's long-time favorite Lighthouse Espresso is a little bit darker chocolate. Borogove's Cremona is the equivalent of a really nicely balanced dark chocolate with about 70% cocoa. Theo's 91% (!!) cocoa Venezuelan single-origin chocolate bar serves as a sophisticated companion for the coffees in this sampler. What a treat! |
