All You Need to Know About Shipping
Our mail order philosophy in a nutshell
At Seattle Coffee Works we take pride in the quality of our coffee. To ensure you receive the best of what we have to offer, we follow a precise shipping schedule. Our first priority is fresh coffee. We roast four times weekly and ship immediately after roasting.
Fresh coffee, shipped three times a week - Order Deadlines
• All orders received by Monday 6am PT will be roasted and shipped on Monday.
• All orders received by Wednesday 6am PT will be roasted and shipped on Wednesday.
• All orders received by Friday 6am PT will be roasted and shipped on Friday.
Any orders received after these cut-off times will be shipped the following roast day.
Shipping Times and Holiday Deadlines
While we will try our best to accommodate deadlines including holidays, we cannot guarantee arrival and receipt dates and times with Standard Shipping. We follow recommended shipping dates and times of the United States Postal Service. Most orders are shipped priority or first-class mail via United States Postal Service (USPS). You can select UPS 3-Day, UPS 2nd Day Air, or UPS Next Day Air to guarantee that your package will arrive on time. Note that we roast to order, so UPS shipments will ship out in the afternoon of the next available roast day after your order is placed. (See Order Deadlines, above.) Special deadlines may apply ahead of holidays.

Standard Flat Rate Shipping:
• $5 Shipping for orders up to $25 in value. These orders will be shipped First Class mail via United States Postal Service (USPS)
• $9 Shipping for orders valued at $25-$45. These order will be shipped USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground
• FREE Shipping for orders valued at $45 or more. These orders will be shipped USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground
UPS Flat Rates:
• UPS 3 Day Select - $20
• UPS 2nd Day Air - $25
• UPS Next Day Air Saver - $45
For very large orders, or for specific addresses, we may choose a different carrier, for example FedEx Ground. Special terms apply for bulk orders.
Shipping to international addresses
We do not ship to international addresses at this moment.
Coffee will arrive 1-3 days after it's roasted*
Typically, a package shipped with the USPS Priority or First-Class Mail service takes 1-3 business days to reach the recipient. We have seen many packages arrive within one or two days. Some packages, especially to the eastern and midwestern US or US territories will take five to seven days.
While we would like to see every package reach you within the shortest amount of time possible, please understand that we can only control the shipping process until the USPS or other carrier has accepted your package.
Any orders roasted on a USPS holiday will be shipped the next day. To ensure your package will arrive on time we recommend selecting the UPS 3 Day, UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Next Day Air option.
*Covid-19 update: the USPS has increased the expected delivery time for USPS Priority mail to 1-4 business days, and up to a total of 10-14 days. Our Seattle customers have received their coffee within one business day even during the crisis, but we understand that shipping to other regions of the country may be delayed by up to one week.
For Coffee Works Club Members only: Orders for Store local store pickup in Seattle, WA
We now offer local store pickup for members of the Coffee Works Club. Generally, the same schedule as for coffee shipped by mail applies for these orders.
Orders received by 6am PT on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, will be roasted that day and delivered by the time the store opens the following day.
All orders received by Monday 6am PT will be roasted on Monday and available for pickup at start of business on Tuesday.
All orders received by Wednesday 6am PT will be roasted on Wednesday and available for pickup at start of business on Thursday.
All orders received by Friday 6am PT will be roasted on Friday and available for pickup at start of business on Saturday.
Any orders received after these cut-off times will be roasted the following roast day.
